The Game Awards have awarded Astro Bot with game of the year.

Six games were nominated for the top prize of Game of the Year: Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Astro Bot is a 2024 platforming game for the PlayStation 5. It’s a sequel to Astro’s Playroom and the first game to feature the character developed by Team Asobi since its separation from Japan Studio.
