The release date for “The Last of Us” season 2 has been confirmed in a newly released teaser. Fans can expect the upcoming season April 2025.

In the teaser, we get glimpses of Abby, Dina and Ellie. As well as plenty of action. Check it out below.

Season 2 returning cast includes Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria. The new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, and Danny Ramirez as Manny.

The lineup of directors for Season 2 includes Mark Mylod (“Succession,” The Menu) alongside Nina Lopez-Corrado (Perry Mason), Stephen Williams (Watchmen) and Kate Herron (Loki). They join returning directors Peter Hoar, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.

The series is based on the popular videogame of the same name. It follows a smuggler, Joel in a post-apocalyptic world that has been turned upside down by a deadly fungus. Joel is tasked with taking a young girl named, Ellie across the country in the hopes of creating a cure. The game also spawned an equally popular sequel, The Last of Us: Part 2.
