A24 dropped a new trailer for Death of a Unicorn today. The Ari Aster produced dark comedy was shows, of course, the death of a unicorn which leads to experiments, and ultimately another unicorn seeks revenge. Check it out below.

Death of a Unicorn stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega.

In Death of a Unicorn, “A father (Rudd) and daughter (Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (Richard Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties.”

It marks writer/director Alex Scharfman’s (Resurrection, Lyle) directorial debut. The film also stars Téa Leoni (Jurassic Park III, Spanglish), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Anthony Carrigan (Bill & Ted Face the Music, “Barry”), Sunita Mani (“Servant,” “Glow”), Jessica Hynes (Shaun of the Dead, Paddington 2), Stephen Park (Asteroid City).

John Carpenter is composing the film’s music. Larry Fong (Kong: Skull Island, 300) is the Director of Photography, Amy Williams (Master of None) is the Production Designer, Avy Kaufman (Tár) is Casting Director and Andrea Flesch (Midsommar) is Costume Designer.

Alex Scharfman, Drew Houpt and Lucas Joaquin of Secret Engine, Tyler Campellone, Lars Knudsen of Square Peg, Tim Headington and Theresa Steele Page of Ley Line Entertainment are producing. Ari Aster, Michael Williams, Jacob Epstein, David Darby, Nate Kamiya and Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega will serve as executive producers.

The film is set to release Spring 2025.
