The sequel to 2023’s The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes revisits the world of Panem to follow young Haymitch Abernathy 24 years before the events of the original 2012 film, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

Francis Lawrence directs from a script by Billy Ray (The Hunger Games, Terminator: Dark Fate), based on the novel by Suzanne Collins.

Joseph Zada, Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. star.

Lawrence produces alongside Color Force’s Nina Jacobson & Brad Simpson. Cameron MacConomy serves as executive producer.

The film opens in theaters and IMAX on November 20 via Lionsgate.
