Weapons prequel, Gladys, is set to release September 8, 2028.

Weapons director Zach Cregger will write the screenplay for the Weapons prequel alongside Zach Shields (Krampus, Godzilla: King of the Monsters).

Gladys aims to tell the origin story of the villain played by Amy Madigan in Weapons.

Zach Cregger will also produce the upcoming prequel for Warner Bros. and New Line.

The prequel does not yet have a director attached to the film.
