Cole Sprouse (“Riverdale,” Lisa Frankenstein) joins Kathryn Newton (Ready or Not 2: Here I Come) and Storm Reid (The Invisible Man) in the coming-of-age revenge thriller Hot Year.

Set against the backdrop of a small Pacific Northwest town during a relentless heatwave, the film follows two childhood best friends whose bond is pushed to the brink after a revenge plan against an ex-boyfriend spirals into a violent incident they can’t take back.

Over the course of one feverish night, the pair must navigate the consequences of their actions as buried trauma, loyalty, and identity collide.

Dove Cameron (“56 Days”), J. Smith Cameron (“Succession”), and Owen Painter (“Wednesday”) round out the cast.

Writer-director Roxy Sophie Sorkin will make her feature debut on the project.

Wagner Entertainment’s Jordan Wagner, Killer Films’ Christine Vachon, Entertainment 360’s Evan Silverberg & Dylan Conklin, and Hype Studios’ Ilya Stewart are producing. Executive producers include Newton, Ryan Hamilton for Wagner, Aleksandr Fomin for Hype, and Pavel Burian for Mosaic Films.
