Jodie Comer (28 Years Later, Killing Eve) is starring in The Chain from HBO, which is based on Adrian McKinty‘s 2019 novel of the same name.

Comer will play Rachel, a suburban mother who is forced by a dangerous group of masterminds to commit a crime to save her kidnapped daughter or risk losing her forever.

Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen) is the showrunner.

Lindelof co-wrote the pilot with Carly Wray (Mad Men, Westworld), based on a story by Lindelof, Wray, and Breannah Gibson (The Penguin).

Michael Ellenberg & Lindsey Springer executive produce for Media Res (The Morning Show), the co-studio behind the series, along with Lindelof, Gibson, Shane Salerno, and Joe Iberti (Alien: Earth). McKinty serves as co-executive producer.
