Will Smith is starring in action-thriller, Supermax.

The film follows two FBI agents investigating a murder perpetrated within the world’s most secure prison.

David Gordon Green directs from a script by David Weil & David J. Rosen (“Hunters,” “Invasion”).

Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the worldwide rights from Miramax. Deadline notes, “We understand this one will be a streaming play and not a theatrical release.”

The Picture Company (The Commuter, Gunpowder Milkshake) partners Andrew Rona & Alex Heineman are producing alongside Will Smith & Adam Fishbach (Smile) for Smith’s Westbrook.
