Ninja Theory has announced a third entry in the Hellblade series, Senua.

Senua is set in a fractured vision of purgatory, where a Celtic warrior (which is Senua) must fight to reach the afterlife and reunite with those she has loved and lost. Story details are purposely being kept under wraps for now, but players can expect to confront threats both within and without, master tactical combat to overcome nightmarish creatures, and explore a fantastical world shaped by myth and memory.

“It was important for us in developing Senua that we make a game Hellblade fans will love, but for it to be a game for new players, too,” explains Ninja Theory in a post to Steam. “If you’re a fan of story-led, premium action-adventure games with visceral combat, vivid worlds and fantastical enemies (including boss fights!), there’s a lot to be excited about in Senua.”

The new entry will launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
