Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures has landed the rights to Kumail Nanjiani‘s  directorial debut, Howl.

Kumail Nanjiani will also star in the horror comedy.

Deadline details, “Howl follows a famous but notoriously troubled actor who announces on a talk show that in less than an hour, he’ll turn into a werewolf… on live TV.”

Madison Vanderberg wrote the screenplay, which was featured on the 2024 Black List.

Weed Road Pictures and Winter Coat Films will produce the werewolf comedy.
