Adam Carter Rehmeier (Snack Shack, Carolina Caroline) is directing the darkly comedic thriller, Seeker.

Michael Learner wrote the script.

Seeker follows Grant, a man haunted by the unexplained disappearance of his fiancée five years earlier. Now an Uber driver, his life is upended when he picks up a passenger he becomes convinced was responsible for her disappearance. The film begins as a tense game of cat and mouse before spiraling into something far stranger, more disturbing, and deeply unhinged.

Alex Lebovici (Barbarian) and Learner of Hammerstone Studios will produce alongside Oscar winner Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up) and two-time Emmy nominee Todd Schulman (The Chair Company) at HyperObject Industries and Noah Centineo and Enzo Marc of Arkhum Productions.

Michael Learner said in a statement, “With Seeker, I wanted to write something as propulsive and unpredictable as possible, while grounded in a personal story about obsession and loss. Adam has such a singular voice as a filmmaker and an incredible ability to find humanity in his characters. I can’t imagine a better filmmaker to bring Seeker to life.”

Deadline first reported on the film.
