Prime Video today revealed the teaser and release date for Apocalypse Z: New World, the highly anticipated sequel to Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End. The Halloween feature will debut at the Sitges Film Festival on October 10, as part of the festival’s 59th edition, before premiering exclusively on Prime Video October 30 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Apocalypse Z: New World returns with an even more ambitious, ensemble-driven and action-packed story that expands the universe inspired by the work of author Manel Loureiro. Carles Torrens (Sky Rojo, Animal de compañía) returns to direct from a screenplay by Ángel Agudo.

The story takes us to the Canary Islands, which have become Europe’s last refuge following the outbreak of the TSJ virus. When a special mission sets out for the mainland in search of vital supplies, Roberto joins the team with questionable intentions. The dangerous operation turns into a desperate race for survival, and Roberto and his companions find themselves caught between hordes of infected and divided loyalties. Then the timeless question arises: save yourself, or risk everything to preserve what little humanity remains?

The film stars Carlos Alcaide (El Internado: Las Cumbres, La edad de la ira), Julia Martínez (La promesa), Mónica López (Rapa, Cronos), Tamara Casellas (Ama, El Hijo Zurdo), and Santiago Vaca Narvaja (La sociedad de la nieve, Ciudad universitaria). The main cast also includes Jose María Yazpik, the internationally acclaimed actor known for his role in Narcos, who returns as Pritchenko; Berta Vázquez (Vis a vis, Un hípster en la España vacía), who reprises her role as Lucía, and Pedrito, the cat who plays Lúculo. New cast members include Axel Medrano (Costa!!), Pedro Hernández (El 47), Javier Godino (Ventajas de viajar en tren), Ujin Moreno and Mario Mayo (Os reviento).

The film is produced by Nostromo Pictures, with Núria Valls and Adrián Guerra serving as executive producers.
