CRUNCHFEST and GROLAF have unveiled a new trailer for Kidnapped Simulator, a psychological horror game in development for PC via Steam. The game traps players in a confined room with a kidnapper who demands a confession. Players type their own replies, choosing what to reveal, what to invent, and when to push back as they search for a way to survive.
You wake up strapped to a chair. Across from you is Abel Marsh: patient, methodical, and convinced that he has every right to decide your fate. He asks what you did. Who you hurt. What you have been keeping to yourself. You write the replies in your own words.
Plead with him. Make up a story. Refuse to cooperate. Ask a question he would rather avoid. The challenge is to understand your kidnapper while deciding how much of your own story to give him. Getting him to talk could matter just as much as knowing what to say.
Abel’s replies are powered by a custom-built conversation engine that responds to what players type. Built around a proprietary AI model developed specifically for the game, the system runs entirely on the player’s own computer. Your words and his responses stay on your machine, keeping every conversation completely private. Your confessions never leave your PC. The game is being developed with eight endings shaped by the encounter with Abel.
