Sosie Bacon (Smile, Scarpetta) is starring opposite Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in MGM+’s supernatural series, The Black Tapes.

Based on the 2015 horror podcast of the same name, the series follows, “Dr. Richard Strand (Coster-Waldau), a brilliant psychiatrist with a mysterious past, [who] teams with the obsessed, methodical physicist Alex Regan (Bacon) to debunk paranormal cases of hauntings, possessions, disappearances, and sinister legends – the infamous black tapes. But as Strand and Regan unravel the secrets of these events, they uncover a hidden occult world behind our own and must unravel a centuries-old apocalyptic conspiracy.”

The Black Tapes is executive produced by Terry Miles and Paul Bae, creators of the podcast and writers on its TV adaptation, as well as Kearie Peak of Peak Pictures and John Rogers and Jennifer Court of Kung Fu Monkey Productions, with Rogers serving as showrunner.
