The first images for Toho‘s upcoming survival thriller, Leviathan have been unveiled.

The adaptation of Shiro Kuroi’s best-selling manga “follows a group of students pitted against each other in a brutal battle for survival in the depths of space after a catastrophic accident leaves the spacecraft they are traveling in adrift and low on oxygen, with only one life support.”

The film is directed by Michihito Fujii and Ryohei Shingu. Fujii co-writes with Izumi Takahashi.

Shunsuke Michieda (Even If This Love Disappears From The World) and Natsuki Deguchi (Look Back) star in Leviathan.

Leviathan releases in Japan on February 11, 2027. Paris-based Goodfellas is handling all international territories outside of Asia.
