Chris Jericho (Terrifier 2, Dark Match) is starring in the creature feature I Am the Teeth.

Here’s the synopsis: “I Am the Teeth follows five middle schoolers searching for a lost pet who come face-to-face with a werewolf in their town’s woods. After trapping the beast on accident, they make a shocking discovery: the creature is actually a young woman who disappeared more than a decade earlier.

“Now pursued by a relentless bounty hunter (Jericho) and confronted by signs of something even more terrifying lurking nearby, the kids must find a way to protect her before the real monsters close in.”

Scott B. Hansen (Bad Candy) is directing for Epic Pictures Group’s Dread Originals banner.

Hope Jordan (Devour) and Thomas Parobek (Cobra Kai) star alongside Chris Jericho.

J.R. Curtis, Scott B. Hansen and Desiree Hansen wrote the screenplay.

Director Scott B. Hansen said in a statement, “I wanted to make the kind of movie that made me fall in love with filmmaking as a kid — something filled with adventure, mystery, memorable characters and genuine scares. I Am the Teeth brings together that sense of childhood wonder with films like The Monster Squad and The Sandlot with a darker, more terrifying creature story. Having Chris Jericho play The Hunter adds another level of intensity, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience what we’re creating.”

Epic Pictures Group’s Patrick Ewald said, “I Am the Teeth is exactly the kind of exciting, original genre film we love bringing to audiences. It has the spirit of the classic action-adventure movies we grew up with, but with a fresh horror twist that makes it incredibly fun. Chris Jericho brings tremendous energy and presence to the film, and Scott has created a world that we believe will connect with audiences around the world. We’re excited to introduce it to buyers at AFM.”

Chris Jericho added, “I’ve always been a huge horror fan, and I Am the Teeth has everything I love about the genre — scary monsters, gory kills, a clever storyline and plenty of twists! The Hunter is a character who brings a whole different level of danger and intensity to the film, and I’m having a blast digging deep as an actor in order to bring him to life. It’s such a smart and adventurous film that reminds me of a cross between The Goonies and Silver Bullet, and I think audiences are going to have a lot of fun stepping into our world of The Teeth!”

Deadline first reported on Jericho’s starring role.
