Sony has won the international distribution rights and will be co-financing the live-action adaptation of Naruto, at Lionsgate.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will write and direct the adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s manga.

Avi Arad, Ari Arad, and Emmy Yu are producing for Arad Productions alongside Cretton and Jeyun Munford for Hisako.
