Netflix has announced that a new live action “Stranger Things” spinoff series, “Other Worlds: A Stranger Things Adventure” is coming 2028.

The series will be set in Marion, Nevada in April 1955, making it a prequel to the main series and the stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning director Joe Wright (Darkest Hour) is set to direct the first three episodes.

From co-creators and Executive Producers The Duffer Brothers and Kate Trefry, the series will be produced by 21Laps Entertainment. Kate Trefry will serve as the showrunner.
