In the fourth installment of the Hell House LLC franchise directed by Stephen Cognetti, we are set before the events of the first Hell House. Rather than the usual Abaddon Hotel setting, this film takes place at the Carmichael mansion, where a series of grisly murders occurred.

A trio of internet sleuths that specialize in cold cases take on the case of the 1989 Carmichael family murders and begin their stay at the haunted home. While the previous cases they investigated proved to be fake, the house rewards them with their first actual haunted adventure. Their stay at the home is filled with terror as the entities begin terrorizing their investigation, ending in another cold case.

Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor succeeds in giving us the same eerie vibes we received in the last three installments where it feels like there’s always someone else present in the home with our main cast. The late-night recordings where they hastily wake up because they heard something inside the house or the sudden odd movement of one the clowns in the background are two of the many tropes that this franchise uses in each film that still remain just as terrifying as the first time you watched.

The designs of the “monsters” give off an unsettling feeling each time they appear on screen, leaving you waiting in anticipation to see what their next move will be. The main cast, which consists of Bridget Rose Perotta as Margot, James Liddell as Chase, and Destiny Leilani Brown as Rebecca, did an amazing job performing as stressed, and utterly frightened victims.
This was an excellent addition to the franchise, diving deeper into the lore and connecting perfectly back to the Abbadon Hotel. It was interesting to add another location instead of sending us back to the hotel again. The Hell House franchise are the perfect movies to binge if you ever want to experience utter creepiness.
We give Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor a 4/5.
