Amazon MGM Studios‘ upcoming thriller After the Hunt from director Luca Guadagnino and Imagine has added Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) to the cast. She will star alongside Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield. Edebiri’s role is being kept under wraps.

The film is written by Nora Garrett.

The film is an intense dramatic thriller about a college professor (Roberts) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light.

Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum are producing alongside Guadagnino via his Frenesy banner, with Imagine Entertainment’s Karen Lunder exec producing alongside Garrett.

Production is scheduled to kick off in the summer will be released in theaters 2025.

Edebiri is represented by Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, Range Media Partners, CAA, and Del Shaw Moonves.
